How Balantium Systems LLC handles information on balantium.systems
This Privacy Policy describes how Balantium Systems LLC (“Balantium,” “we”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit balantium.systems (the “Site”) or contact us through the Site.
Important: Balantium’s licensed products (e.g., Data Forge) are designed for local-first operation. Customer data processed in those products on your hardware is not described here — that processing is governed by your license agreement and your internal policies.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you use our contact or evaluation request forms, we may collect:
- Name and email address
- Company or organization (optional)
- Product interest and use-case description
- Message content and any attachments you choose to send by email follow-up
1.2 Automatic technical data
When you visit the Site, our hosting and security infrastructure may log:
- IP address, request time, pages viewed, and referrer URL
- Browser type, device type, and approximate region (derived from IP)
- Security events (e.g., blocked requests, rate limits)
1.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to:
- Maintain a session identifier for form security (CSRF protection)
- Operate basic Site functionality
We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal data to data brokers. If we add privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., aggregate traffic without cross-site tracking), we will update this section.
2. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Respond to inquiries and evaluation requests
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Detect abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access attempts
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service
- Perform contracts if you become a customer under a separate agreement
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers that host the Site, deliver email, or process payments (e.g., Render, SendGrid, Paddle) — only as needed to perform their services
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy
4. Retention
Contact submissions and related correspondence are retained as long as needed for sales, support, and legal purposes, then deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required by law or an active contract.
Server and security logs are retained for a limited operational window (typically days to months) unless extended for incident investigation.
5. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to a marketing and inquiry site, including HTTPS, access controls on admin functions, and immune-system request filtering. No online system is perfectly secure; transmit sensitive files only under NDA and agreed secure channels.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request.” We may verify your identity before responding.
You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser; essential session cookies may be required to submit forms securely.
7. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from other regions, you consent to transfer and processing in the U.S. where permitted by law.
8. Children
The Site and our enterprise products are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
