Refund Policy
Evaluation fees, enterprise licenses, and payment finality
This Refund Policy explains how Balantium Systems LLC (“Balantium”) handles refunds for fees published on balantium.systems and collected through our sales process or payment partners (e.g., Paddle). Signed order forms and master license agreements control if their terms differ from this summary.
1. General principle
Balantium sells enterprise software licenses and paid private evaluations, not consumer subscriptions. Fees reflect custom delivery (sealed binaries, documentation, architect availability) and opportunity cost of reserved evaluation capacity. Refunds are limited as described below.
2. Data Forge — 7-day private evaluation
Fee is stated on your signed order form (see how pricing works).
- Before delivery: If Balantium has not yet delivered the agreed evaluation package (sealed build, documentation bundle, and start date confirmation), you may cancel in writing for a full refund of amounts paid for that evaluation SKU.
- After delivery: Once the sealed evaluation binary and delivery materials are provided to the buyer of record, the evaluation fee is non-refundable. Delivery constitutes performance of the evaluation license for the agreed term (typically seven calendar days from start date defined in the order form).
- No source access: Refunds are not available because you expected source code, architecture transfer, or perpetual use of the evaluation binary beyond the evaluation term.
3. Enterprise license fees
License fees are quoted individually per executed order form (Data Forge, Cybersecurity Fortress, GraniteForge, and bundles). Marketing pages describe methodology only — not binding amounts.
- License fees are non-refundable after the order form is executed and delivery of production sealed binaries or agreed deliverables has begun, except as expressly stated in the order form or required by law.
- Maintenance, support, and royalty terms are defined in the license agreement — not on this marketing Site.
4. Duplicate or erroneous charges
If you believe you were charged twice for the same SKU or charged in error, contact [email protected] within 14 days of the charge with transaction details. Verified duplicate or erroneous charges will be refunded to the original payment method.
5. Payment processor disputes
If you paid through a third-party processor (e.g., Paddle), you may also have rights under that processor’s dispute process. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and can affect eligibility for future evaluations.
6. Taxes
Refunds, when issued, return the payment amount received by Balantium for the disputed line item. Tax treatment depends on jurisdiction and your tax advisor; we do not provide tax advice.
7. No refund scenarios (summary)
- Change of mind after sealed evaluation or license delivery
- Failure to meet internal ROI expectations after good-faith use on buyer data
- Incompatibility caused by buyer environment changes outside agreed OS/architecture
- Violation of license terms (e.g., unauthorized copying, reverse engineering)
8. How to request a refund or billing review
Email [email protected] with:
- Legal entity name and billing contact
- Order or invoice reference
- Date of payment and amount
- Reason for the request
We respond to good-faith billing inquiries within a reasonable business timeframe.
9. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Fees and refundability for transactions already executed remain governed by the policy and order documents in effect at purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
